Time to Recognize

It is that time of year again,… to recognize someone who has accomplished educational brand marketing greatness in 2013! How about someone who has had much success to celebrate in branding their institution of education! Well then,… now is the time to nominate them!

The International Brand Master Award is an annual honor awarded to a top professional in educational brand marketing who has demonstrated exceptional skill and expertise in branding, marketing, and/or communications, and has had outstanding success during the past year.

This is the fifth year we have sponsored this award. Each year we receive more and more nominations. Last year, we received 15 extraordinary nominations. Since the award started in 2009, nominations have come in from across the U.S. and around the world, including submissions from Brussels, Canada, The Netherlands, Australia, United Kingdom, and Thailand.

And over the years, panels of highly successful educational brand marketing professionals from the U.S., Ireland, Australia, Norway, United Kingdom, and Canada have volunteered their precious time to judge the award. Read more about last year’s panel of international judges.

Nominate a deserving colleague, or yourself, for that matter. There is no better way to celebrate the success of your brand than by nominating the person(s) who have helped lift your institutional brand to the top.

This year’s winner will join an elite club of previous International Brand Masters who have been named to the most prestigious award available for brand marketing professionals in education:

  • 2012: Jason Cook, Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Texas A&M University in Texas, United States
  • 2011: Emma Leech, Director of Marketing and Communications at University of Nottingham in Nottingham, England
  • 2010: John Lichtenberg, Chief Marketing & Enrollment Officer at Walsh College in Michigan, United States
  • 2009: Andrew Careaga, Director of Communications at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Missouri, United States.

When the winner is chosen, we showcase their amazing work, including on Higher Ed Live. See the videos below of previous winners talking about the latest challenges in education branding. We also get the nominees, judges, and finalists as much recognition as possible for all their hard work and branding know-how.  For example, join me Thursday November 14 at 11:00am Eastern Time, I will be chatting with 2011 finalist Claudia Jackson, Executive Director of Community and Legislative at Del Mar College, as well as several others.
